CANADIANS ADD VETERAN FORWARD

The Rayside Balfour Canadians Jr. A Hockey Club GM Jeff Forsyth has announced the acquisition of 19-year-old forward Alexander Dillon that has graduated from the Provincial Jr. C Hockey League. Dillon is 6’, 170 lbs and is a left-shot forward that can play all forward positions. The Whitby native has made the jump to Jr. A in his final year of Junior hockey eligibility with the hopes of contributing to a championship season and developing his skills for the next level of his hockey career.

“I am incredibly excited to join the Rayside-Balfour Canadians this year and look forward to bringing my talent and drive to the team and work hard to win the championship” notes Dillon. “I have seen the achievements of players like DeGrazia, Biondi, Martin and Giroux – just to name a few in Rayside. Rayside has proven to be an exceptional Jr. A hockey organization in terms of player development and competition that I am confident will help develop my skills towards my goal of playing at a higher level next year.

During the 2019-20 season, Dillon skated for the Little Britain Merchants of the PJCHL. In 33 games, as a 17 year old, Dillon recorded 7 goals and 5 assist for 12 points. “Alex has outstanding offensive skills and as a 20-year-old, we fully expect him to have a major impact on our teams’ offensive production” notes Canadians GM Jeff Forsyth. “I can’t wait to see him in our line-up in a couple of months!”
