NOJHL names its Eastlink TV 3 Stars of the Week

SUDBURY, Ont. – The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League (NOJHL) announced Monday that forwards Lucas Signoretti (Espanola Paper Kings) and Tyler Patterson (Hearst Lumberjacks), along with goaltender Noah Metivier (Greater Sudbury Cubs) have been named its Eastlink TV 3 Stars of the Week for the period ending October 29.

LUCAS SIGNORETTI, (F) ESPANOLA PAPER KINGS:
Signoretti earns 3 Stars laurels for a second straight week after piling up a league-best 11 points in a trio of outings.

With that, the 19-year-old from Kinborn, Ont., tallied four times and supplied seven assists, helping Espanola move into a share of third place in the overall standings.

His efforts have seen him take over the NOJHL scoring lead with 42 points, in just 19 games, on 17 markers and 25 helpers, and will enter November riding a point streak of six straight contests.

TYLER PATTERSON, (F) HEARST LUMBERJACKS:
The veteran forward chipped in on 50% of Hearst’s tallies last week, bolstering them to two triumphs, in as many appearances.

Hailing from Newcastle, Ont., Patterson notched his first hat trick of the season, including a picking up the game-winner, and doled out an assist, in a win at Iroquois Falls Thursday, then scored his 54th career NOJHL goal during a home decision, the following evening, versus the Storm.

Currently sporting a seven-game point streak, the 19-year-old presently paces the Lumberjacks in offensive production, converting at over a point-per-game clip, having scored 14 times, while adding 10 helpers, through 19 match-ups.

NOAH METIVIER, (G) GREATER SUDBURY CUBS:
Making two starts last week, Metivier won both of them to put the Cubs back into top spot in the overall NOJHL table.

Beginning with an overtime victory over French River at home Thursday, the 19-year-old Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., product followed that up with a 39-save performance on the road Saturday against the Soo Eagles to post his first shutout of the season, and 11th of his career.

Sporting an 0.96 goals-against average, along with a .964 save percentage during the period, Metivier now leads the NOJHL in wins with nine, while moving into the Top 3 overall in both average and save mark.
