SUDBURY, Ont. – The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League (NOJHL) announced Monday that forward Kaedyn Long (Greater Sudbury Cubs) as well as goaltenders Iain Wintle (Greater Sudbury Cubs) and Frédéric Cousineau (Timmins Rock), have been named its final Rogers 3 Stars of the Week for the season.
Kaedyn Long, (F) Greater Sudbury Cubs – Contributing at key moments, Long notched the game-winning goal in each contest last week, including the deciding tally in overtime, as the Cubs claimed the NOJHL championship.
The 20-year-old Astorville, Ont., product also dished out a pair of assists to complete the playoffs and give Greater Sudbury their third consecutive Copeland Cup – McNamara Trophy title.
An alumnus of the North Bay Trappers AAA system, Long finished up with points in four straight, and in seven of eight, in league postseason play, averaging just over one per-game with 13 in a dozen outings.
Iain Wintle, (g) Greater Sudbury Cubs – Capping off an unbeaten league playoff run, Wintle tacked on two more victories over the time frame, backstopping his side to the NOJHL crown.
Last week, the veteran netminder from Bowmanville, Ont., who is wrapping up his Jr. A career, registered a crisp 0.89 goals-against average, along with a stellar .970 save percentage and one shutout in his two triumphs.
Playing his minor hockey with both the Whitby Wildcats and Clarington Toros, Wintle was solid in the 2026 postseason, going 10-0 while leading the way in both average and save mark at 2.05 and .934 respectively.
Frédéric Cousineau, (G) Timmins Rock – Despite a pair of setbacks to close out the finals, Cousineau did all he could for Timmins.
Cousineau stopped 31 of 33 as the Rock were shut out in Game 3, then turned aside 44 of 47 in the Game 4 OT defeat.
From Malartic, Que., he closed out his time in junior with a .938 save percentage and a GAA of 2.33 over two games. His overall average in the playoffs was second-best at 2.60 as was his .919 save percentage.
