The Greater Sudbury Cubs Jr. A Hockey Club are proud to announce that six of their players will be attending OHL camps this week!
Four of the players attending OHL camps are new Cubs players and prospects including: 16-year-old forward Nolan Newton and 17-year-old defenceman Matthew Mazzotta who will be attending the Barrie Colts try-out camp. Recently-signed 15-year-old forward Marshall McCharles will be attending the Sudbury Wolves camp while 17-year-old goaltending prospect Nathanial Boyes will be attending the Ottawa 67’s camp.
Two returning Cubs players will also receive invites to OHL Camps including: 17-year-old forward Billy Biedermann (Barrie Colts) and 18-year-old forward Cameron Shanks (London Knights).
“The Greater Sudbury Cubs hockey club is extremely excited to have six of our young players attending OHL camps this week” according to Cubs newly appointed General Manager Dave Clancy. “These players have all worked extremely hard and are deserving of their invitation to their respective OHL try-out camps” adds Clancy. “We wish them all the very best of luck as they look to showcase their skills at four different OHL team camps this week.”
The 2022-23 version of the Greater Sudbury Cubs will be gathering for the first time this week in preparation for their home opener on Thursday, September 8th at the Gerry McCrory Sports Complex when they host the Powassan Voodoos at 7:05 pm. Tickets will go on sale starting this week for games in September including next Thursday and Friday’s double-header home opener as the Cubs will also host the Hearst Lumberjacks on Friday, September 9th at 7:05 pm at the Gerry McCrory Countryside Sports Complex.
